What is LIFE+
The LIFE + program is a financial instrument of the European Union to support EU environmental policy.
Each year the Commission publishes a call for proposals taking account on the multiannual strategic program and the national priorities that are to be sent various by the Members.
The Commission then determines which proposals, including those received, may receive financial support from the LIFE + and regularly publishes a list of these projects.
Public and / or private bodies, actors and institutions are allowed to receive funding.
Proposals must be eligible under one of the programme'’s three components: LIFE+ Nature and Biodiversity, LIFE+ Environment Policy and Governance, and LIFE+ Information and Communication.
LIFE+ supports innovative projects or demonstration projects for the implementation, updating and development of policy and legislation on the environment, including the integration of environmental concerns into other policies.
